- Your passport & FMM visa are carried with you at all times — so don't leave anything you can't afford to lose at the mission center when we head out to serve.
Dress Code — What to Wear
Applies throughout the trip, especially when we're serving.

We will dress modestly at all times — long pants and your DEC t-shirt when we serve.
- ✓ Dress modestly — avoid skirts and overly revealing attire
- ✓ Sturdy, hard-sole, closed-toe shoes
Essentials
- ✓ Current, unexpired US passport or Green Card
- ✓ Carry both your passport/green card and FMM visa with you at all times
- ✓ Any medications you take regularly
- ✓ A light sleeping bag
- ✓ Toiletries and a towel (shampoo & body wash are provided)
- ✓ A refillable water bottle — drinking water available for refills
- ✓ A soft, lightweight bag (e.g. an old backpack) for easy transport
Sun Protection & Health
- ✓ Stay hydrated, especially during construction work and outdoor activities
- ✓ Sun-protective clothing — long-sleeved shirts, pants, hat, sunglasses, sunscreen
